Will
design and develop validation and evaluation systems for this
company's wireless data communication products. Design and develop
software program for base-band processing and IEEE 802.1/802.3/802.11
MAC functions. Work together with IC design engineers to plan,
execute, validate, and debug the functionality of various wireless
data communication products. Conduct industrial standard conformance,
inter-operability, benchmark performance, competitor analysis,
and component qualification tests. Support other system level
tests like ESD, EMI, ATE, FA and so on. Contribute to the development
of collateral documents including data sheet, design guide,
application note, product errata, and reference design kit.
Convey messages with high technical content to the customers
through written document, telephone, fax, e-mail or customer-site
visit in terms of answering technical questions, reviewing schematics
and layouts for accuracy and best practices, troubleshoot system
issues, etc. Coordinate and set up product demonstrations in
trade show activities, in-house demo rooms, and customer site
visits.
Requirements:
BSEE, MSEE preferred. 3+ years working experience as a system
engineer, hardware design engineer, or application engineer.
Must have board level hardware design experience with high-speed
computer/communication systems. Must have fundamental engineering
knowledge, including good knowledge with digital and analog

Description:
As a senior member of the Signal integrity group, you support
the hardware development groups to aggressively design and develop
high performance 3D graphics accelerators and PC mother boards.
You will also work with 3rd party vendors to maintain a high
level of model accuracy. The members that will be a part of
this new group are outstanding individuals that will need to
handle challenging high speed designs, model generation, verification
and pre/post layout simulation and constraint management of
high speed digital busses. Work as part of a team with logic,
module designers, PCB and component engineers to characterize
packages and define termination strategies.
Requirements:
Must be proficient with most signal integrity simulation tools
using SpectraQuest, APSIM, HSPICE, and Model validation software
such as IConnect is preferred. A good knowledge of transmission
line analysis, Full-wave 3D analysis techniques such as FDTD
and Method of moments is beneficial. Experience correlating
simulation results with lab measurements using oscilloscopes,
TDRs, VNAs, and spectrum analyzers is a plus.
The candidate will have good interpersonal skills and have the

ASIC physical design (place and route) engineer will establish
physical design capability. Responsible for running the entire
suite of tools, from floorplanning to place and route, clock-tree

The
Software Tools Engineering department is responsible for the
architecture definition, creation, testing, and documentation
of our industry-leading Software Development Kits (SDKs). These
SDKs provide development tools as well as reusable software
components, allowing customers to accelerate the development
of their own custom software and hardware based on PLX I/O Controller
and Switch Fabric (3GIO and GigaBridge) devices.
Support is provided for several industry-leading operating systems,
including Windows (98, NT, 2000, and XP), VxWorks, and Linux.
This support consists of reusable, deployable components such
as drivers, APIs and application examples. For embedded OSes
and RTOSes, the SDK provides an RTOS-friendly local (embedded)
side API, a generic Board Support Package (BSP) for all PLX
RDK boards, and specific support for selected OSes, including
BSPs and drivers.
The responsibilities of this hands-on position include:
• Design, development, documentation and debug of drivers
and applications for our Switch Fabric GigaBridge and 3GIO products
• Function as the chief architect for several software
tools and components
• Creation of BSPs, APIs and Drivers for various Oses
• Working with external partners to specify and co-develop
software
• Assist Tools Marketing with technical issues related
to software
Must Have:
